Stefano Bemer, Florentine boot-maker emeritus, passed away on July 28th following a lengthy illness.
He was a true artisan, exemplary in every respect, whose passing is a terrible loss for the whole field, and a great injustice for the brand itself whose beautiful RTW shoes never really achieved the level of fame it deserved outside of Italy.
Here are a few photos of the work left behind by wonderfully gifted Stefano.
Stefano was unquestionably highly skilled and passionate, yet his notorious stringency certainly hindered the recognition of his work and his international success.
