The Parisian Gentleman Book Celebrated in Milan

This is it !

The first signing event for the release of my book “The Parisian Gentleman” published by Thames & Hudson  (see here or here to order your copy) took place yesterday evening at the Vitale Barberis Canonico showroom directly below the bespoke salon of Milano’s tailor extraordinaire A. Caraceni.

This special evening was the first of a long string of celebrations taking the PG team around the world, from Bucarest to Barcelona, Madrid to Paris, London (TBD) to Brussels and New York to Atlanta — some extra stops may be added, but jot down the dates if you would like to request an invitation for these locations :

– The 29th of October in Bucharest, Romania, (see here for all the details on what I can already tell will be an exceptional event — great violonist Alexandru Tomescu will be performing on his 1702 Stradivarius for the guests, on top of other festivities).

– The 10th of November in Barcelona, in partnership with Santa Eulalia.

– The 12th of November in Madrid at Langa.

– The 24th of November in Paris for the release of the French Edition, at Guerlain 68, Champs Elysées.

– The 10th of December in New York at The Armoury boutique in Tribeca.

– The 15th of December in Atlanta at Cobbler Union’s brand new shop.

All details on how to attend these parties will be published as each event draws near — so please look for the announcement for each event and at that point, put in your request. If you wish to attend the Bucharest celebration however, please visit the Bucharestgentleman.ro website for more informations on how to secure a spot on the guest list.

This week’s event was a tremendously emotional moment for me. Not only did it mark the end of an arduous two-year writing endeavor, but also marked a significant night on a bigger scale, as many great names from our small (handmade) circle came specially from Paris for the occasion. It was a pure honor to count among the guests such names as Lorenzo Cifonelli (Cifonelli), Julien de Luca (Camps de Luca), Jean Grimbert (Arnys-Berluti) or Rémi Fritsch-Fontanges (Berluti) ! I want to reiterate my heartfelt thanks to each of them for their continuous friendship and their support of my work at PG.

Last but not least, we want to thank Francesco Barberis Canonico and the whole VBC team for making such a wonderful evening a reality… and here are a few photos to take you there if you weren’t able to attend:
